- The Entrant warrants that Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd may use the name of the Entrant and any brands used in connection with the Entrant for the purpose of promoting the De Kuyper Masters of Mixology Competition or De Kuyper products.
- The Entrant assigns all copyright and other intellectual property rights owned by them in the cocktail recipes they submit in the De Kuyper Masters of Mixology Competition to Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd.
- The Entrant warrant that all recipes they submit in the De Kuyper Masters of Mixology Competition are original, and no third party rights have been, or will be, infringed in the creation or use of the recipe by the Entrant, any Team Member, Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd or De Kuyper.
- The competition entry form, the details on how to enter and all promotional material form part of these terms and conditions.
- Entry into this promotion is evidence of the consent of the Entrant to these terms and conditions.
- The promoter is Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd (promoter), 318 Richmond Rd, Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand.
- The promotion is open to any bar in New Zealand within the metropolitan area, provided the bar completes and submits an entry form. One entry per bar.
- One bartender over the age of 18 currently employed by the bar, and the bar owner both must be named in the entry form and both must agree to participate in the promotion.
- Employees of the Promoters, their suppliers, agencies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
- All cocktails submitted must be listed in the bar from 1st August 2014 - 30th September 2014.
- Your cocktail needs to incorporate one of De Kuyper's flavours.
- A minimum of 6 bottles of De Kuyper must be purchased by the bar during the period from 1st August - 30th September 2014.
- All other spirits and liqueurs for the cocktail submitted must be drawn from the Hancocks portfolio. An exception to this if there is a specific liqueur or spirit that Hancocks cannot provide.
- All entries must be received by 24th July 2014 and may be sent through the website www.dekuyper.co.nz, emailed to info@dekuyper.co.nz, by post to: De Kuyper Masters of Mixology Competition, PO Box 47-191 Ponsonby or handed to a Hancocks Rep.
- Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd accepts no responsibility for lost, late, damaged, illegible or incomplete entries, all of which will be void.
- All entries will be collected and held by and become the property of Hancocks Wine, Spirit and Beer Merchants Ltd.
- Entries must be an original creation of a cocktail using at least 1 De Kuyper liqueur and other Hancocks products, may not have won previous awards and may not have been published previously.
- Entries will be judged on sales, creativity, originality and number of correct mystery shops.
- The winning Bar will be notified by phone, mail or email and the name of the winning bar will be published on www.dekuyper.co.nz and may be announced by press release.
- The winner must be over the age of 18 years and hold a valid passport, be eligible to travel overseas and entry entitlement the Netherlands & UK, otherwise they forfeit their prize in its entirety and another bartender will be selected.
- Decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to this competition.
- The 2 winning Bartenders will each receive a major prize. The major prize package consists of a trip for 1 to the Netherlands and England, in November 2014.
- The 2 major prizes each consist of:
(a) Economy class flights including taxes, from Auckland to the Netherlands;
(b) 5 nights accommodation; food and internal transport;
(c) all expenses paid for while the major prize winner is visiting the Netherlands and England;
(d) economy class flight from Netherlands to England;
(e) if the winner should be from out of Auckland, return economy flights from the winner's nearest city to Auckland will be paid for.
- Unless otherwise advised, all other costs relating to the 2 major prize packages including, but not limited to, passport costs, taxes, additional activities, beverages, visas (if required) and ancillary costs will be the responsibility of each of the 2 major prize winners. Prize winners may be required to provide a credit card at the time of hotel check-in to cover, among other things, incidentals and other expenses that are not included as part of the prize.
- Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a prize winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prizes are not negotiable or transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash or other goods or services. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued. The major prize winners will not accrue membership rewards points on the major prizes' travel or accommodation.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its agencies will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury or death or loss of, or damage to property that is caused or sustained in connection with the Bars' participation in the Promotion or a prizewinner's receipt or use of any part of the prizes, or for any personal injury suffered during the course of the prize winning travel.
- The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw any or all parts of the promotion at any time. In such event the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation.
- The appropriate permission from the owner of the Bar must be obtained prior to the entry form being submitted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility if such permission is not obtained from the Bar owner.
- $1000 (NZD) will be paid to the bar owner of the North Island winning bar and the bar owner of the South Island winning bar.
